Add wholemeal flour. Use wholemeal flour to amp up the health credentials of a recipe - without compromising the visual or appetite appeal. Substitute about 25% of the total flour. For example, if the recipe calls for 240grams of plain flour convert that to 180g of plain flour and 60g of wholemeal plain flour = 240grams of flour in total.  If you want a finer texture then don’t add the flakes left at the bottom of the sifter to your mix.
